The LA Lakers signed Shaquille O'Neal to a 7 year, $120 million contract.
O'Neal will wear #34.  The Lakers also announced a raise in the ticket
prices.

Miami signed P.J. Brown to a 7 year, $36 million contract.

Minnesota signed rookie Stephon Marbury to a 3 year, $5.67 million
contract.

Miami re-signed Tim Hardaway.

Denver re-signed Bryant Stith to a 5 year, $22 million contract.

Washington renounced their rights to Robert Pack, Mark Price, Ledell
Eackles, Bob McCann, and Bob Thornton.
