New York named Brendan Malone and Tom Thibodeau as assistants coaches.
Malone was the head coach for Toronto last season.  Thibodeau was an
assistant for Philadelphia last season.

Philadelphia named Ed Badger and Bob Ociepka as assistant coaches.  Badger
was an assistant for Miami last season and Ociepka was an assistant for
the Clippers last season.

The free agent market is scheduled to open today (Tuesday) at 11:00
Central Time.  They are still working on finalizing the new collective
bargaining agreement and the NBA may extend the moratorium of no player
signings or trades until the CBA is finalized.
