Scottie Pippen (Chi) underwent surgery on his left foot Monday and will be 
out 2 to 3 months.

Chicago signed Dennis Rodman to a 1 year, rumored $4 million contract.  
The contract also includes a lot of insentive clauses.

Nick Van Exel (LAL) will miss Thursday's and Friday's pre-season games due
to a bone bruise on his left knee.

Seattle released Mark Blount and Derrick Battie.

Washington signed Charles Shackleford.
