Anfernee Hardaway (Orl) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to
remove torn cartilage and will be out 8 to 10 weeks.
 
Orlando placed Nick Anderson on IR with a broken bone in his left hand and
activated Jason Lawson.
 
Orlando signed Carl Thomas.

Chris Gatling (NJ) will be out 2 to 3 weeks with a stress fracture in his
right leg.
 
Boston placed Dee Brown on IR with the flu and activated Dontae' Jones.

Cleveland signed GM Wayne Embry to a 2 year contract extension.

Bryant Stith (Den) underwent surgery on his left ankle to remove a bone
spur and will be out 3 months.
