The NBA named Shaquille O'Neal (LAL) as Player of the Week.  O'Neal
averaged 28.8 points including 51.7% FG and 14.8 rebounds as the Lakers
went 3-1.

The NBA Board of Governors voted 27-2 to reopen the collective bargaining
agreement.  By exercising their option to reopen negotiations with the
Players Association, the current CBA will expire June 30.  If a new
agreement is not reached before that date (which is likely) there will 
likely be a lockout starting July 1.

Philadelphia activated Derrick Coleman and placed Kebu Stewart on IR with
patella tendinitis in his left knee.
