News from November 23.

On the labor front:
The Players Association and NBA negotiating groups held what was a
reportly very productive negotiating session last Friday.  Both sides made
concessions in the 9 hour meeting, but the sides are still a ways apart on
many issues.  Despite the progress that was made, the next negotiating
session is inexplicably not scheduled until Saturday November 28.  Though
not officially announced, it is safe to assume that the first 3 weeks of
December games will be cancelled.
