News from November 24.

On the labor front:
The NBA informed NBC that the double header scheduled for Christmas day
(December 25) has been cancelled.  With that announcement, I'm assuming
that all games through Christmas have officially been cancelled.  With a 
touch of irony, NBC has decided to show the movie "It's a Wonderful Life"
in place of the Christmas games.  Also, in the continuing one step 
forward, two steps back negotiations, the Players Association informed 
the NBA that they had misunderstood part of what they had agreed to last
Friday and withdrew their agreement towards the NBA's escrow proposal.
