The NBA suspended Isaiah Rider (Por) for one game for entering the stands
near the end of Tuesday's Por-GS game.

Steve Francis (junior, Maryland, guard) declared himself eligible for the 
NBA draft.  The deadline for underclassmen to declare themselves eligible
for the draft is May 16.  Albert White (junior, Missouri, guard-forward) 
is the only other underclassman who has declared thus far.

Popeye Jones underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to have loose
bodies removed and will be out the rest of the season.  <sniff>

Detroit activated Joe Dumars and placed Charles O'Bannon on IR with right
knee tendinitis.

Keon Clark will be out 7 to 10 days with a partially collapsed left lung.

Phoenix signed Jimmy Oliver to a 10-day contract.
