The NBA named Jason Kidd (Pho) as Player of the Week.  Kidd averaged 22.9
points, 10.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.8 steals as Phoenix went 3-1.

The NBA fined Keith Askins (Mia) $5,000 and suspended him for 1 game for
flagrantly elbowing Antonio Davis (Ind) during Sunday's Mia-Ind game.

The NBA fined Cherokee Parks (Van) $5,000 for making an obscene gesture
during Friday's Van-Min game.

Washington placed Terry Davis on IR with a bruised right shin and
activated Jahidi White.

Othella Harrington (Hou) underwent surgery on his little left toe after a
corn he had on the toe burst and was infected.  He will be out 1 to 3
weeks.
