The NBA named Kevin Garnett (Min) as Player of the Week.  Garnett averaged
24.7 points including 66% (37-56) FG, 8.6 rebounds, and 6.3 assists as
Minnesota went 3-0.

Washington fired head coach Bernie Bickerstaff.  Assistant coach Jim 
Brovelli was named as interim coach.

The LA Lakers activated Tyronn Lue and placed Travis Knight on IR with
left Achilles tendinitis.

Vancouver signed Terry Dehere to a 2nd 10-day contract.

New Jersey signed Mark Hendrickson to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Philadelphia signed Doug Overton to a 2nd 10-day contract.

Minnesota released James Robinson, who had completed his 10-day contract.
