The NBA fined J.R. Reid (LAL) $10,000 for his flagrant foul against
Scottie Pippen (Hou) during Saturday's LAL-Hou game.

Eddie Johnson (Hou) announced his retirement from the NBA.

Jonathan Bender (Picayune High School, center) declared himself eligible
for the NBA draft.  Underclassmen had until Sunday to declare themselves
eligible.  [I'll send out the official list of those who declared when the
list is released.]

With Detroit's elimination, Joe Dumars has retired from the NBA.  He had
announced before the season started that this would be his last season.
[And kudos to a truly class act.]

Jamal Mashburn (Mia) had 16 points.
