The NBA named Jason Kidd (Pho) as Player of the Month for April.  Kidd
averaged 20.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists as Phoenix went 10-6
in April.

The NBA named Gregg Popovich (SA) as Coach of the Month for April.  San
Antonio went 13-3 in April.

The NBA named Vince Carter (Tor) as Rookie of the Month for April.  Carter
averaged 20.6 points and 5.9 rebounds.

The NBA named Grant Hill (Det) as Player of the Week.  Hill averaged 26.8
points including 41-65 FG, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.3 assists as Detroit went
4-0.

New Jersey signed Gheorghe Muresan for the rest of the season [all 2 games
of it].

Chicago activated Charles Jones and placed Randy Brown on IR with a
sprained right ankle.
