The Basketball Hall of Fame announced the inductees for 1999.  They are:
  Wayne Embry      1st black NBA GM, GM for the Milwaukee Bucks 71-79,
  (nominated as an contributor)    GM for the Cleveland Cavaliers 86-94,
                   team president for the Cleveland Cavaliers 94-present
  Kevin McHale     played with the Boston Celtics 80-81 - 91-92
  Billie Moore     coached Cal State Fullerton to a record of 140-15 and
                   coached UCLA to a record of 296-181 in 16 seasons
  John Thompson    26 seasons as Georgetown University coach, won 1984
                   NCAA championship
  Fred Zollner     one of the founders of the NBA (he helped in the 
                   merger of the NBL and BAA) and the founder and former 
                   owner (1941-1974) of the Fort Wayne/Detroit Pistons
Maurice Cheeks, Dennis Johnson, Gus Johnson, Grady Lewis, Bob McAdoo,
Sidney Moncrief, Drazen Petrovic, Jim Phelan, Harley Redin, Pereira Maciel
Ubiratan, Chet Walker, Jo Jo White, Tex Winters, and Morgan Wooten were 
nominated but did not receive the required 18 of 24 votes for being 
inducted.  The induction ceremonies will take place October 1.
 
Vancouver exercised their option to receive Boston's 2nd round draft pick
(#37) as part of the Tony Massenberg-Roy Rogers trade.

Tim Duncan (SA) had 28 points including 10-12 FT, 18 rebounds, and 3
blocks.
David Robinson (SA) had 14 points, 17 rebounds including 9 offensive, and

Mario Elie (SA) had 18 points including 6-9 FG and 6 rebounds.
Avery Johnson (SA) had 14 points and 10 assists.
Latrell Sprewell (NY) had 26 points.
Marcus Camby (NY) had 20 points and 13 rebounds.
Allan Houston (NY) had 20 points.
Charlie Ward (NY) had 11 points, 8 assists, and 4 steals.
Patrick Ewing (NY, partial tear left Achilles) did not play.
SA leads the series 3-1.
