The NBA announced the Minnesota will host the 2000 NBA draft on June 28,
2000.

The NBA released the list of early entry candidates who withdrew their
names from consideration for the NBA draft.  They are Harold Arceneaux
(Weber State), Edwin "Greedy Daniels (UNLV), Giorgos Diamantopoulos
(Greece), Antonis Fotsis (Greece), DeeAndre Hulett (College of the
Sequoias), Guilherme Joanoni (Brazil), Lamon Long (New Mexico), Jamaal
Magloire (Kentucky), Olumide Oyedeji (Nigeria), Igor Rakocevic
(Yugoslavia), Tyron Triplett (Tallahassee CC), Kostas Tsartsaris (Greece).
Underclassmen or foreign players under 22 years old could declare
themselves eligible for the NBA draft by submitting a formal letter to the
NBA.  June 23 was the deadline for those who had previously declared
themselves eligible to withdraw their names.
