News from September 24.

Due to the continuing labor conflict, the NBA has suspended indefinitely
the start of training camp and cancelled all 24 pre-season games that were
scheduled through October 16.  Training camp was scheduled to start
October 6.

The Basketball Hall of Fame named Tex Winter (Chi assistant) as the winner
of the John Bunn Award.  The award is given for outstanding contribution
to basketball.
