Washington suspended Rod Strickland for 1 game for missing practice.  He
will sit out Thursday's game vs Cleveland.

New Jersey signed Sherman Douglas to a 2 year, $2.1 million contract.  The
second year is at Douglas' option.

New Jersey released Rashid Bey.

The LA Lakers signed Brian Shaw to a 1 year contract.

Chicago released Brett Robisch and Maceo Baston.
