Eldridge Recasner (Cha) will be out at least 6 weeks with a fracture in
his shoulder joint and a collapsed lung.

New York and Latrell Sprewell have agreed to a 5 year, $61.9 million
contract extension.

Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Cle) will be out 8 weeks due to a sore left foot.

Detroit released Pooh Richardson.

Milwaukee released Galen Young.

Minnesota released Ronnie Grandison and Terquin Mott.

Orlando released Terry Davis.

San Antonio released Todd Lindeman and Ira Newble.

Miami released Jamie Watson and Jermaine Walker.
