The NBA fined Ron Artest (Chi) $5,000 and sent him home from the NBA
rookie orientation for missing a meeting at the orientation.

[Welcome to the world of Rider:] Isaiah Rider (Atl) failed to show up at
Atlanta's media day event and the team had no idea where he was.  Atlanta
acquired Rider during the summer and the team will fine him for missing
the event.
