News from December 13.

The NBA named Alonzo Mourning (Mia) as Player of the Week.  Mourning
averaged 25.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 6 blocks as Miami went 3-1.

Danny Ainge resigned as head coach for Phoenix.  Assistant Scott Skiles 
was named as Ainge's replacement.
 
Boston released Marty Conlon and signed Jamel Thomas.
