The NBA fined Charles Barkley (Hou) $20,000 for disparaging remarks made
about ref Mike Mathis following Wednesday's Hou-Pho game.

Dallas signed Damon Jones and placed Randell Jackson on IR with a deep
thigh bruise.  [Dallas received an injury exemption to carry 4 players 
on IR.]

Golden State placed Donyell Marshall on IR with patella tendinitis in his
left knee.

San Antonio activated Felton Spencer and placed Samaki Walker on IR with a
sprained left ankle.

Seattle activated Jelani McCoy and Fred Vinson and placed Shammond
Williams (right thumb injury) and Chuck Person (right foot) on IR.
