Philadelphia signed Ira Bowman for the rest of the season.

Jayson Williams (NJ) broke the base of the 5th metatarsal in his left foot
during practice.  Williams has been recovering from a severely broken 
right leg and was nearing activation.

Chicago activated Ron Artest and B.J. Armstrong and placed John Starks
(tendinitis both knees) and Michael Ruffin (right shoulder tendinitis) on 
IR.

Golden State announced the Chris Mills (bone spurs right ankle) and 
Terry Cummings (strained right rotator cuff) will miss the rest of the 
season.  Both are on IR.
