News from April 11. The NBA Board of Governors formally approved the sale of the Dallas Mavericks to Mark Cuban, the sale of the Vancouver Grizzlies to Michael Heisley, and the transfer of ownership of the Denver Nuggets to Liberty Media Corp (which plans on selling the team). Liberty Media Corp bought out all of the assests of Ascent Entertainment, the previous owner of Denver. In addition, the Board of Governors approved 3 new rule changes to take effect in 2000-01. They are: * In the last 2 minutes of a game, a delay of game penalty results in a technical foul. Was only a technical if it was the 2nd delay of game by the team. * On an inbounds play, if there is a 5 second violation or foul before the ball is inbounded, teams are now allowed to substitute players. Was that substitutes could not take place until after the ball was inbounded and the next dead ball. * If a player is fouled resulting in free throws and the player has to leave the game due to injury or ejection, the opposing coach can select the player to shoot the free throws from the bench. Was that the coach could only select from players on the court. Dal 92, Por 81 - at Dal Michael Finley (Dal) had 24 points including 9-16 FG and 4-5 3-pointers, 4 steals, 3 blocks, and 5 turnovers.
