News from July 19.

Jayson Williams (NJ) underwent surgery on his left thumb to repair a
ligament.  It will take about 8 weeks for the thumb to heal.  Williams is
still recovering from a broken right leg.

Denver signed first round draft pick James Posey (#18) to a 3 year, $2.558
million contract with a 4th year worth $1.116 million at the team's
option.
