Phoenix signed first round draft pick Shawn Marion (#9) to a 3 year,
$4.058 million contract with a 4th year worth $1.772 million at the team's
option.

Phoenix re-signed restricted free agent Toby Bailey to a 1 year contract.
[Yes, I said restricted.  Per the new CBA, second round picks and rookie
free agents are restricted free agents after their first contract is
completed.]

Tariq Abdul-Wahad (Sac) underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to
repair a minor cartilage tear.  His recovery time is expected to take 3
weeks.

Teams may begin signing free agents at 12:01 am (Eastern) on Sunday.
