MOBILE POST OFFICE SOCIETY SPONSORS SPECIAL POSTMARK AND CACHET

= Pennsylvania Railroad Sesquicentennial =

The sesquicentennial celebration of the Pennsylvania Railroad will be commemorated with a cacheted cover featuring the famous PRR keystone logo, the legend, "The Standard Railroad of America" and the years "1846" and "1996." Covers will be postmarked with a special railroad cancellation at the Wynnewood, Pennsylvania Post Office (near the Wynnewood PRR depot) on September 27th. 

    Covers are available for $1.50 each plus a SASE from:

Proceeds will benefit the Mobile Post Office Society (MPOS), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the study of enroute distribution of mail and the postmarks from mobile Postal units that operated over railroads, waterways and highways and related topics.
