TRANSIT POSTMARK COLLECTOR JAN/FEB 2003

TRANSIT POSTMARK COLLECTOR Volume 54, No. 2

Transit Postmark Collector Vol. 54, No. 2 (January-February 2003) ... is in the mail! In his H.P.O. column, Will Keller continues illustrating the cachets used on first trip covers of HPOs. This time, his subject is HPO2, South Bend, Peru & Indianapolis (Ind.) HPO. His TPO column deals with Poland's recent changes in TPOs, Poland's HPOs and some German stamps illustrating East German TPOs. In his Rural Free Delivery column, Guy Purington discusses and illustrates greeting cards left by RFD carriers. In his street car R.P.O. column, David Gentry illustrates a new street car registered cover. Apparently it was franked for registry, postmarked on the Chicago Madison Street RPO, and then "Found in Ordinary Mail." Also shown is a new Chicago mail car photograph. There is society news, a mail sale and more...
