The Chinese Kitchen actually has one of the better buffets I have tried. This is based on my experience that the food
tastes more Chinese, and less Americanized than just about any buffet I have sampled. It also has a good variety of
interesting items such as vegetable dishes and Hunan/ Szechuan (spicy) items. My only complaint is that the food
tends to get cold sitting out on the buffet.
Dishes from the menu are fresher and more flavorful than the buffet, but considering the quality and variety of buffet items it may not be worth ordering from the menu. The Lo Mein (Chinese rice noodles) was a big hit both on the buffet and from the menu. The owners were planning another location in Hobbs, but I think this one is just fine. This is easily the best Asian restaurant in Hobbs. |
