   It is ironic that the very thing we need to do to stop climate change, when we start to do it, becomes a disaster. We are really really really sunk. What this says is that even accidentally reducing our oil consumption puts the world in dire straits, but we in fact need to do it to a far greater extent. What is going to happen if the world suddenly stops using all oil, coal and gas? Besides it being an apparent socioeconomic impossibility, were it to happen, the world would probably not know how to survive. Are we actually facing the fact that Trump is some kind of evolved predator against human carbon consumption which is exposing its suicidal effluent production just like wolves evolve to eat deer in the woods? It feels like that to me. The function of randomization is one which requires a player that does not know what he is doing. Trump is that player. Meanwhile, if we instead stop it and recover, we are bringing back the very cancer that will kill us all.
