These statements about opening the Strait of Hormuz made me think of the last chapter of _Stranger_In_A_Strange_Land_, where, as the main protagonist has held off police violence with his mental/magic powers (see the novel) the whole novel, he comes to realize the Martians that gave him those powers are using him to get to a point of subduing the people on Earth, which he conceives would be a far worse tyranny than anything Earth's people could do to themselves. So, he turns off the magic, and is immediately shot to death. I don't see that trying to get into the middle of this thing, no matter what our powers are, would end well, and I think those with the power to do so in any way would do well to find their way out of involvement now,
What the world needs now is to bankrupt Trump. He's the only one that endangers all of us. What the world needs now is no more Trump. His U.S. endangers everyone. No We don't need another air strike. We need ICC membership for us all. We need ICG membership for the world and everyone, to comply with law.
