   I think John is not taking all dimensions into account. Yes, we have great capacity to wield military power right now. However, we have an inherent degenerating weakness, which is an incredibly stupid class with power in finance. For decades, communities have been depleted in commerce and character by dumb money dumping ownership in urban areas, and then letting things rot, while putting in lower quality commodity infrastructure that they can control, but which is no good without cheap gasoline powered automobiles. This ruling class is in the process of making labor less and less skilled. One of the reasons Iran can out produce us in missiles is the average tech worker is not only less able, but must be paid relatively more because maintenance of that finance elite requires bleeding its serfdom with high rent and low quality product retail, and what retail there is is being depleted more. Please realize that this dumb money elite cannot get around the problem that the very act of letting the economy get better puts them under threat of successful people coming out of the working class that could easily conquer them in both politics and business. I foresee this problem not going away, but getting worse and worse until the American Dollar is gone, we can no longer support most of our military, and the States look at break up of the Union as the only apparent solution. If John sees solutions to these problems, I may be wrong, but more likely the U.S. will very quickly be bankrupt and disempowered, leaving BRICS as the primary world financial power system.
