    My perception, because I had my experience as a youth myself, is that Tucker is a sincere Christian, not in some Sunday morning or specific religious sense, but in the sense of simply reading the "teachings of Christ" and Paul in the mainstream new testaments. Having that sincere position, if you really have sincere intellect on it, self-honesty, and the ability to read and understand, always leads two two foundational ethical assertions: The Christian God is equated with truth itself. As such, searching for God is searching for truth, and vice versa. If you see clear evidence, therefore, not recognizing it and representing that evidence, is against God. The second thing is the two most important commandments assertion: Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. So, if you really believe that stuff, this is actually a pretty ethical and helpful perspective, and apparently in alliance with ethics in other major religions. Interestingly, even if you are a complete non-religionist, non-spiritualist like myself, you can take those ethical foundations and follow them. As such, this flavor of Christianity is universal, and allies one with pretty much all those of ethical goals. It also implicitly debunks the religious focus on "belief for salvation", which is also founded in alleged words from the Christ. In fact, all the other ethical norms do not require belief in a person, but rather in the aforementioned three ethics. Truth is the most important. Make truth foundational in your thinking. Be ethical and compassionate with your neighbors. Clearly these three things are what Jesus was teaching, and all the other belief stuff was metaphorical support for this latter, and not some kind of short circuit to get more tithes for the cleric on Sunday morning.
