Lake Clinton, Kansas

Camped at Lake Clinton, very remote and dogs were free all evening to explore and have a dip in the lake.

It was a horse camp, and so there were a few horses and their people camping out also.

Off to points east today, Kansas City is a few miles away. then St. Louis MO then Indianapolis. We have an appointment with Dr. Radcliffe tomorrow at 2pm for Blade. About 800 miles to Wheeling from where I am.

Kansas is nice, Pogo didn't want to leave the cool grassy spot she was laying in this morning. But the vagabond traveling greyhound circus needs to push on.

Thanks to those who are leaving comments on the blog, it is a lot of fun to read the blog when I make my pit stops and although traveling with 4 greyhounds isn't lonely in the least, I feel as if I have human friends along with me also!

Hey Tracy,
I can tell by your writing that you are missing the heat and smog of a big city...Toronto is currently 31c (not sure what that is in Farhenheit) but with the humidity we are looking at around 40c. Just lovely...having fun following you around the US.

Tracy,

Enjoying the details of the trek. That's a lot of miles, I think I'm green with envy.

Everything's fine on the block, we watered your plants a couple of times-- perhaps you'll have a little summer left in your garden when you get home.

Wow, how lucky can a person be, to have fantastic dogs to take cross country... to meet fantastic friends at the other side... to have wonderful neighbors who watch your house and water plants even when NYC was boiling hot the entire time you were gone...

What a life I have!!!!

Even though I love the road, my little yellow brick house is indeed a place I am truly lucky to call home!

(and no Mike, I have not changed my oil yet, I thought that the 3000 mile oil change was something dreamed up by the oil companies????)
