    I think you are right. Creepy. I guess the countermeasure would be to have a second monitor running a screensaver or something.

    Not sure how effective that would be. If both monitors were at the same sweep rate you’d see a ghosty image, two images superimposed. If it was at a different sweep rate, the average noise assuming one could still sync to the desired signal might not degrade the image that much.

    A better solution would be to go to an LCD monitor where the light from each pixel is constant and there is no “serial” presentation of the data optically.
