The Kettle is more than a place to get good breakfasts, it is a place where you are likely to store your experience
firmly in your brain cells and wish you could return for many more.
The Omelettes are the specialty of the house--a delicious concoction of eggs and other ingredients that taste like home-made (I don't know why so many restaurants serve omelettes that taste like restaurant omelettes). I usually opt for the veggie version with fresh Northwest vegetables and cheese. A half order of most breakfasts is available and is highly recommended unless you are planning to skip lunch. Muffins come with all orders and are some of the most delicious anywhere. Even the Hash Browns are pretty good, although this is not my favorite choice for a breakfast side dish. For the most part I find restaurant breakfasts to be mediocre, overpriced, and something to get out of the way so I can begin looking forward to lunch. It is not often, though, that I encounter restaurants as worthy of patronizing as The Kettle. This is an Enumclaw institution, and the one place I always find myself going back to. |
