Packing and Preparations

Sifting and sorting through the things I need to bring, organizing the dog's food and supplies, changed the oil in the car, getting the pre-vacation loose ends figured out, downloading more mp3's from eMusic, burning more cd's, filling up my iPod....
I set up a way to publish to this blog via my cell phone. I haven't tested it out, but I will after today. I'll send a photo to see how it works.

New Tent

Bought my new tent and did some "test set-ups". It is huge and should give me enough room to be comfortable with the dogs. I bought a Eureka tent again, the first one is 20 years old, has been used in just about every state, and is still in great shape.
Some people don't like camping. I have always camped in tents, since I was little, I never considered that it was something that many people have never done, and have no inclination to do! Good thing my dogs like camping!

Mid-Week Preparation

It's been an extremely hot couple of days here in Brooklyn as we prepare for our trip. The car needs to be cleaned out, dog equipment and racing stuff sorted through and packed up, dog food and supplements figured out. That all goes up into the Kanga pack on the roof, so it needs to fit.
Today I go purchase my new tent - and pick up Echo and return Mirage (who has been with me for training the past 3 weeks). Echo gets to meet Pogo, I am hoping she is as kind to Pogo as Blade has been.
The dogs preparation is pretty easy, rest and long walks and some sprint running in the park and more long walks, then more resting (what they do best!)

Setting up the Blog

Setting up the BLOG template and adjusting the look and feel of the page and testing my ftp settings. Well here goes.
