Finally my neurologist has got me on a combination of drugs that is doing a stellar job of controlling my nerve pain.  I can sleep and I can function again!  I am now on Lyrica and Amitriptyline.  The combination does sedate me a small bit but that is minor compared to what I felt like when I couldn’t sleep because of the pain.
