Virtual Private Servers
Private Virtual Servers run a private instance of the Linux distribution of your choice, Fedora, CentOS, Scientific Linux, Debian, Mint, MxLinux, Ubuntu, OpenSuse, Zorin, are all in use and we will happily attempt others. The main limitation factor is the OS has to be remotely accessible, can be remotely administrated, and uses a package installer and updater we can manage. We also now have a control panel available for Debian based Linux releases. If you would like this installed on your vps, let us know.
You have super user access. We will initially install the operating system. We will make backups, and install updates on an ongoing basis.
We will initially install ssh and x2go server to allow remote command line access and full graphical access with sound with a Mate desktop. KDE, Gnome, XFCE, LXDE, OpenBox, IceWM and other Desktops are also available upon request.
Servers can be equipped with multiple IPv4 addresses and we will provide rDNS and also forward DNS upon request. By default servers will be mapped into vps(x).eskimo.net names.
Our virtual servers are on modern 64 bit fast hardware and we do not over commit our resources the way the majority of our competitors do so you will have excellent performance that you will not find elsewhere at any price.

Managed Servers
- Managed Mail Server
- We offer a managed mail server for $300/year. This includes 4G of RAM, 2 CPU Cores, and 50G of disk initially. We may adjust these values if traffic requires it. This service includes SMTP from the Internet on port 25, submission either plain text or STARTTLS on port 587, and submission TLS on port 465, Imap plaint text on port 143, or encrypted on port 993, and pop3 on port 110 plain text and port 995 TLS. Shell access and mailers are also available on this server. You will have root access on this machine but we also maintain a secondary root level access for maintenance. We run a custom tickless kernel and ask that you not replace our kernel with a stock distribution kernel. If you need additional features let us know and we will build a kernel with those. Webmail is also available if you opt for a combined mail + web server.
- Managed Web Server
- We offer a managed web server for $300/year. This includes the latest version of apache httpd with a custom module allowing PHP code to be executed by the owner, http2 (encryption certificate required, if you opt for a subdomain under our domain a certificate will be provided), php, a maria db, 2 cores, 4GB, and 50G of disk. This may be adjusted if traffic requires it.
- Combined Managed Mail + Web Server
- We offer a managed combined mail+web server for $480/year. This includes everything in the managed Mail and Web package plus 4 CPU cores, 8GB of RAM, and 100GB of disk.
- Custom Managed Server

Please be as specific as you can with respect to services required, anticipated number of users, space requirements, and traffic and we will provide you with a quotation.
Notes:
- The same Acceptable Use Policy that applies to shell accounts also applies to Virtual Private Servers.
- These will all be on RAID10 file systems, we don’t rely on SSDs because in the long term they are unreliable. It is better to have enough RAM not to have to rely on fast swap.
- Additional IP space is available at $3/IP/month. IP usage must be justified.
- Automatic payment via Debit or Credit card is required for month-to-month service.
- Additional disk is available for $2/100GB/month.
