Went and saw Godzilla -1 tonight. hands down the best Godzilla ever. Unlike the others I’ve seen this one was in Japanese with English subtitles.

Unlike pretty much every other Godzilla movie I’ve seen this one had a good cohesive coherent story line.

The sets were excellent, really looked pretty authentic for the time as did most of the props, the effects were so good that save for Godzilla it was hard to tell what was effects and what was real. Godzilla looked extra gnarly in this one except for the lighted spikes, that was a bit hokey.

Music score was good, sound effects were good, really thundered. It was
like the old movies x 1000. I expected something special being the 70th anniversary of the original and they did not disappoint.
