Slept Like a Baby

Slept like a baby last night with the anti-biotic induced intestinal pain gone and after a pleasant day with that portion of my family that I haven’t alienated.

I am still hopeful that God will someday heal this hurt.   Not just for me but for those I have wronged.

God Incarnate

Luke 2:1-7 King James Version (KJV)

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

Wet Christmas Pains

Didn’t get my wish this year, again.  Another Wet rather than White Christmas.

On the plus side, the stabbing pains died down after a couple of hours last night and are gone this morning.  So I can at least enjoy Christmas without that.

There are other kinds of pain though, I miss my kids and my mother.

Stabbing Pains

Back in early November I had a boil that wouldn’t come to a head, was about an inch in diameter, and didn’t respond to a course of Doxycycline.  So they cut it open and drained it.

It took three different antibiotics to finally kill the infection but now I’m having random stabbing pains there even though the boil isn’t back and the skin shows no signs of inflammation or irritation.  It feels normal, looks normal, but from time to time it feels like someone is jabbing me with a knife.

I’m thinking nerves that were cut are either trying to heal or dying and randomly firing in the process.  It is annoying.
